We designed residential buildings in the important Kurjenmäki hospital complex in Turku.
The residential buildings we designed for the valuable Kurjenmäki hospital complex in Turku were completed in two phases. The clear-cut architecture with its light plastered façades blends subtly with the old stone buildings, creating a new, distinctive layer in the park-like area. The non-traditional ridge orientation of the gable roofs brings a modern look to the eaves lines and façades.
The five-storey buildings contain a total of 101 flats of different sizes, from studios to three-room flats. The recessed balconies of the flats are integrated into the building’s plastered façade. The parking spaces and bicycle storage are located on the first floor and under the green roof between the buildings.
