The Noli courtyards, next to the Malmi public transport terminal, were completed in autumn 2023. The aim of the courtyard areas was to create an impressive and functional front courtyard for the hotel and a comfortable rooftop courtyard for the residents.
An important design goal was to create a human scale in front of the tall towers and a cosy atmosphere next to the aluminium-clad buildings. This was achieved through a circular form, the choice of materials (wood, Corten steel and natural stones) and a variety of vegetation.
The circular form of the courtyard was also borrowed for the overhang connecting the buildings. There are deciduous trees on the ground part of the courtyard and drought-resistant dynamic perennial plants on the deck.
