Tampere Deck and Arena project is progressing with the construction of the northern deck
The first phase saw the completion of Nokia Arena and the southern deck with its towers, and now the focus is shifting to the next phase, aiming for a diverse and vibrant urban space.
Plans are underway to introduce new residential, office, and service spaces, as well as public urban areas, to the north side of the Sorinsilta bridge in Tampere. Additionally, a park-like pedestrian connection will be constructed, linking Nokia Arena to the railway station.
The zoning amendment aims to partially extend the buildings and the deck park over the railway area. Furthermore, pedestrian and cycling routes will be improved to ensure a smoother connection between the station area, neighboring districts, and across the railway tracks.
