ARCO’s winning proposal, Treis, consists of three urban blocks designed for residential use, commercial spaces, and services.
Treis acts as a defining gateway block for its district while connecting surrounding urban structures. The meandering, three-part hybrid forms a distinctive and recognizable whole, positioning itself naturally within both distant and immediate views. The design solutions respect the topography, existing natural environment, and neighboring context. The proposal comprises approximately 30,000 m² GFA and is designed for phased implementation.

The competition entry is based on three key principles:
1. Creating blocks that reflect the identity and atmosphere of Kukkula
2. Forming a diverse network of routes, courtyards, and green spaces
3. Letting sustainability guide design solutions and operations
The overall concept enables a forward-looking, sustainable, and active lifestyle, where communal living is seamlessly integrated with the services and commercial offerings of an urban village. Treis represents Kukkula at its best — a setting for multi-generational living alongside a terraced park landscape.
