We designed a lively educational building in Pellervo, Tampere. The daycare centre is attended by 160 children, the school has 150 pupils, and the total number of staff is 47.
The Pellervo educational building accommodates a daycare centre, a preschool, and primary school grades 1–6. The starting points for the design were adaptability and versatility: parts of the daycare centre’s facilities are suitable for use as educational facilities without any structural changes.
The exterior architecture of the building is upbeat and distinctive, and the various functions of the interior have designated colour themes.
