The new school building of Espoo Christian School is located in a busy area with good traffic connections.
It complements the school network in the area and provides recreational facilities and a centre for community activities.
The building is a recognisable landmark at the junction, bordering peaceful courtyards. The services of Matinkylä Sports Park are also located nearby. From the south, the school building is situated at the end of the Sports Park.
Although there are designated areas for different age groups, the whole building and its surroundings are part of the learning environment. The design takes into account natural internal connections and the possibility of finding spaces for group work and mobile learning, for example.
The school is designed to meet the needs of current operations, but also to accommodate future needs for change.
