The new parking facility of the Lighthouse Hospital is designed to alleviate the parking problem in the hospital area.
The site was chosen for a challenging location crossing Savitehtaankatu, which is centrally located in relation to Turku’s western access road and the new T3 hospital. The parking facility has more than 500 parking spaces.
The façade of the building is made of steel mesh. Two different mesh sizes have been used in the steel mesh elements to emphasise the ‘fragile pack ice’ of the façade.
