P-Hämppi is a rock parking facility for around 950 cars, designed with good orientation and ease of use as key elements.
The entire cave, 600 m long and 30 m wide, is a single space with lofts with glass railings at both ends. The parking facility has one-way traffic and diagonal parking spaces. The entire facility belongs to the same fire compartment, with smoke compartments implemented by directional pressure blowers. The emergency exit tunnel on the south side of the facility is part of the facility’s fresh air channel system. The supply air equipment, fire extinguishing equipment and advertising surfaces are integrated into uniform furniture.
The parking facility has direct lift connections to the Koskipuisto park, the railway station, the Hämeenkadun Osuuspankki bank, the courtyard of the Varma building and the Stockmann department store. The parking facility also has the first firefighting lift in Pirkanmaa. There is also direct access from the facility to the pick-up car park located under the deck of the Pakkahuoneenaukio square.
